The sites are situated in the center section of Sandy Springs city limits, just above the I-285 loop. Furthermore, the Long Island Creek watershed drains to and is a part of the Chattahoochee watershed. This urban site is in a middle-density residential neighborhood in Fulton County, Georgia, southeastern United States. According to the Fulton County 2025 Comprehensive Plan, Land Use Elements publication, nearly half of the Sandy Springs land use is categorized as residential in nature. The remaining breakdown is one quarter as developed business/infrastructure and the other quarter as undeveloped.
